opened in 1978 by Karol Wojtyla, who the same year became the pope John Paul II, hosts the most important items from the Cathedral Treasury. Here you can find coronation robes of Polish Kings, royal insignia, spire of Saint Maurituis - gift of Otto III to the first king of Poland - Bolesław Chrobry.


Chasubles, ornates and chalices still used for the most important feasts, are from 13th to 16th centuries. One room connected with the pope, shows the personal belongings from the time of his Cracow arcbishopric, and some gifts he obtained at that period. The moseum hosts also temporary exhibitions connected with anniversaries of the most important moments of polish history.
