The house got the name because of the hanging cross ( the copy of the medieval one). In the 16th century it was the hospital for poor students,
in 18th century rebuilt into the homeless shelter.
In 1933 the theatre Cricot gave performances there, and finally the buildig has been changed into the museum of
Krakow;s Theatre.
Museum exhibits the 200 years history of Krakows theatre, the personal belongings of the famous actors like Ludwik Solski, also the temporary expositions in the Theatr Gallery.
