In 17th century the house has been owned by Hipolit family of merchants, hence the name of the house.
In later centuries the next merchant owners heavily rebuilt the house, but still remain architectonic details from 14th century, along with Rennaisance window columns and Baroque stucco work by Baltazar Fontana.
Opened in 2003 exhibition shows how burgers lived in the past, with preserved rom interiors between 17 -19th centuries.
