Krzysztofory palace is the main site of Krakow History Museum. The permanent exhibition ‘History and culture of Kraków’ displays items once belonged to merchant guilds, city councelors, also patriotic symbols connected with 19th century uprisings and fighting for Independence during WWI.

In Krzysztofory on display are the yearly winners of competition for making the best ‘Szopka’ - paper mache construction that resembles the Crib of Jesus, but surrounded by present architecture, many details of Crib resemble the famous Krakow’s buildings, brabakan or towers of St.Mary’s church

In the basement once were given performances of the famous theatre Cricot2 by Tadeusz Kantor, at present here is the site of moder music club.
