Lost Wawel is an archeological exhibition of items connected with the history of the Wawel hill.The tourist path goes through different excavation work, showing the oldest church ‘Rotunda’ from around year 1000, the remains of the big stove and forno from Royal kitchen, and first graves from 11th century.
In the display boxes are various items found during archeological works, there are old coins, pottery, everyday’s tools for life. There are also original architectonic details from different parts of the Castle, that were destroyed with the time or replaced by modern replicas during renovation works.
