Welcome to the Jurrasic Park… no, no dinosaurs here, only once the territory between present Kraków and Częstochowa has been under the waters of the sea from the Jurrasic Era.
On the limestone rock, formed by spieces from that sea, you can see ruins of several medieval castles, once protecting the merchants roads.
The castles were built into the rocks, like the eagles build their nests - hence the name of the trail.
