the Bell of King Sigismund the Old
on the Tower of the Wawel Cathedral

Casted by Hans Beham from Nurmberg is believed to be the biggest working bell in the world.

It hangs here since year 1521, and still is used for the special events. His founder king Zygmunt Stary (Sigismund the Old) is buried underneath the Golden chapel.

The estimated weight is at least 13 tonnes, and the clapper itself around 700 pounds.

Thousands of people want to touch the clapper - ‘the heart of the bell’ as it is believed to bring the good luck.

So, if you happen to be here, place the left hand on your heart, touch the heart of the bell with your right one, and dream your wish, every dream come true … soon, just wait a couple of days.
